Are you headed to the Rockies after the wedding?
My sister found a great deal on 2 BR suites in Canmore for this summer, but you have to book before June 15th.

We want YOU!
To let us know if you're coming to the wedding! Today is June 1, so please send us an email at: philarcia@gmail.com to let us know if you're in!
We're still alive up here in Edmonton, but it's been a pretty busy few months what with fieldwork for Phil and Marcia's new teaching job. We were down in the park this weekend and we got a lot of details sorted out. We're both starting to get super excited about the big day!
In the next few weeks, look for us to be posting more info about how to get to the park, etc. If any of you are looking to carpool from Calgary or Edmonton, or have extra room in your car, let us know and we'll try to connect you with a passenger or a ride!
If you still need information about where to stay, please read through the older posts. There's an early one where I listed hotels, motels, phone numbers, camping rental places, etc.
ONE CHANGE...
We were going to rent out the group use campsite at DPP for a few days prior to the wedding, but it ended up being more trouble than it was worth. If you are coming down on Friday night (or earlier) and want to camp, YOU MUST BOOK A SITE. Call (403) 378-3700 and ask for one near Patricia Stewart's (that's my mom). That way you'll be able to hang out with us the night before!!!
Love to all, hope you're happy and healthy!

News...
Hello all!
Just a quick one to say we've arranged for a caterer, photographer, and minister and we're so happy with all three! If you're interested, here's a link to our photographer's website. He did the wedding of some close friends and we're really lucky to have him so ours as well: www.christait.ca
All in all, things are starting to come together nicely!!!

Where to Start!
For those of you coming from overseas, here is a list of accommodation possibilities for our wedding. The ceremony will be in Dinosaur Park and the reception will be outside on the land of Bruce Vandeloh (weather permitting). There is a free campsite right next to the reception spot, so some of you may choose to rent an RV (recreational vehicle or campervan, for the Aussies) or other tenting equipment so you can stay over. If you'd rather have a solid roof over your head, I've listed hotels and motels in the area. Patricia and Duchess are the closest to Steveville, but these hotels are by no means fancy... think small outback town with rooms over the pub.
Let me know if you have any questions or would like any more information.

Welcome!
Hi all!
Welcome to the wedding blog... Phil and I realize that it's about time to let you know some of the basic info for the wedding, so that you can get yourselves organized (especially the English and Aussie Contingent)!
We are so excited to be organizing this wedding. We've dreamed about getting married in Dinosaur Park ever since we met. It just seems right. We met there, fell in love there, and got engaged in a beautiful spot in the badlands. I'll see if I can figure out how to post photos on this thing (I've never blogged before, so bear with me...) so that I can show you where you'll be heading.
First of all, the wedding date is August 8, 2009, so mark your calendars. For those of you who are overseas, the nearest international airport is in Calgary (code YYC). Air Canada does a Sydney/Vancouver direct flight, but you might find better deals with Singapore Air or Malaysian Airlines. Air Canada is a star alliance airline, for all of you frequent fliers out there.
I will be posting more pictures and information as I get questions from you, so please email me if there's anything you want to know: owenmarcia@gmail.com
Phil and I can't wait to see you all! Hooray!
